ハワイから、日本へ。　

ＪＨＣＡ顧問である、ルイ・カニナウ・カベベより、今回の大震災・津波・原発事故に際しての祈りのメッセージです。

（ルイ・カベベは、ＪＨＣA生みの親であるタイガー・エスペリの実弟であり、

タイガーの遺志を継ぎカマクラ号建造のためにＪＨＣＡをサポートし続けています。

Lord

I ask for your blessings upon our families and friends of　Japan Please let all the people of Japan know that we are praying for them every morning and evening.

 This is my prayer yesterday morning for all of you…….

I pray, I care, I miss, I Love all the islands of Japan.

Lord I ask for your blessings upon our families and friends of Japan,

 Father God

 I ask that you lift up their spirit and to give them the strenght to carry on

and to provide the help that they so in need of father God.

 and in this I pray in the name of Jesus Christ

　　私たちが、毎朝毎晩、日本の人々のために祈り続けていることを日本の皆様にお伝え下さい。」

　これは、日本のすべての人へのいのりです。

　私が心から大切に思い、懐かしく、愛している日本のすべての島々のために、

　祈りを捧げます。

　どうか日本の家族たち、友人たちをお守りくださいますよう、祝福して下さいますよう。

　日本の人々の魂を元気づけ、前に進んでいく力をお与えくださいますよう

　そして、必要な助けが与えられますように！」

Bruce Blankenfeld （2007年　Hokule’a号 日本航海の際のキャプテンをつとめられました） Aloha mai!    Congratulations on the first step of your voyage!  Much aloha to the　memory of Tiger and his vision that set this voyage in motion.  Forall of us, there is so much to learn and that is the beauty of　voyaging.  Just when you think you can see over the horizon, many new exciting things that you never imagined await you. That is the story of Hokule’a. I want to share with you that the voyage is only as hard or as easy as we perceive it.  It requires much courage, the seeking of knowlege, the values that make family and community strong and the willingness to stick to and follow your dream. We all have it in us.  You must believe in yourselves. All the best to you and your voyaging endeavors.  Please keep in touch and our thoughts are with you always. （和訳） Aloha mai! カマクラ号の航海の第一歩、まずはおめでとうございます。タイガーの思い出と、この素晴らしい航海を動かしている彼のビジョンに、大きなアロハを送ります。私たちみんなにとって学ぶべきことは本当に多くあり、そしてそれこそが航海の素晴らしさなのです。水平線の向こうを見渡してみれば、今まで想像すらできなかったような新しい、わくわくするようなたくさんの出来事があなたを待っている。それが、ホクレアの物語です。私があなたたちに伝えたいこと、それは、航海が困難なものであるか、たやすいものであるかは、ただわれわれがどれほど航海というものを理解しているかによるということです。ありたけの勇気と、知識の積み重ね、家族やコミュニティの結びつきを強める様な価値観、そして夢をあきらめずに追いかける強い意志が必要とされるのです。私たちはみな、自分の中にそれを持っています。自分自身を信じなくてはなりません。みなさんと、皆さんの航海に向けての努力が実り多きものでありますように。われわれがいつもあなた方ともにあることを心に留めておいてください。Ｍａｈａｌｏ，　ルイ。私たちをあなた方の家族に加えて下さったことに感謝します。 Malama oukou!
